Stick Mobility / Mobility Training



Stick mobility is a concept of using a pliable stick to encourage mobility whilst using the stick to further the mobility exercises. By using the stick within these movements we can achieve stability, strength, coordination and body awareness through activating the muscles whilst in the exercises to enhance a strong foundation of movement.

Mobility refers to being able to move and use a joint fully through its entire range of movement with full strength and stability. This can include the muscles tension and how strength and how the nervous system responds to such movements.

At MiBodyX we encourage mobility in our sessions where deemed necessary in order for the client to improve and prevent further injury. By doing stick and general mobility we can expected to have better range of motion, better muscle activation in all movements, reduced risk of injury and fluid flowing movements!

Having corrected full range mobility can alleviate aches and pains in the joints and muscles as when a joint doesn’t move accordingly the muscles take the brunt of this and therefore tighten due to being used in the wrong position and repeatedly doing so will result in injury to any of our joints.
